New Study Highlights Best Exercises to Lower Blood Pressure

A new analysis suggests that certain types of exercise can significantly reduce blood pressure in people with hypertension. According to research published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, aerobic exercise remains the most reliable method, while combined training and high-intensity interval training (HIIT) also show strong benefits.

The study reviewed 31 clinical trials involving more than 1,300 participants and found that combined exercise reduced systolic blood pressure by over 6 mm Hg, with HIIT and aerobic activity close behind. Researchers say aerobic exercise works by improving blood vessel function, while combined training enhances both cardiovascular and muscular health.

Experts recommend making aerobic activity the foundation of a routine, with added resistance training for broader benefits. Read more at AOL.
