‘Stacked Water’ Trend Promises More Than Hydration, But Do You Need It?

“Stacked water” – plain water enhanced with add-ins like fruit, collagen, coconut water, or electrolyte powders – is surging on social media as a prettier, supposedly healthier way to hydrate. Fans say the custom concoctions help them drink more and sneak in extra protein, vitamins, and antioxidants, particularly when recipes include collagen peptides or vitamin C–rich juices such as lemon or tart cherry. Nutrition experts note it can also make supplements easier to take and tailor to low-carb or other dietary needs.
