We spoke to a dietitian from University Health about the best ways to make sure your children are staying nourished throughout the day. The first way is to start with breakfast.
“Kids tend to prefer cereal over other foods maybe they have it with whole milk or 2 percent milk it’s all about that healthy balance and reading box reaching for options that say low sugar. Trying to read that nutrition box label options that say no added sugar,” said Reem Farra, Clinical Dietitian from University Health.
Reem Farra says don’t focus so much on calories eaten throughout the day but instead the kind of food.
