If you haven’t heard of acupuncture, now’s the time to take note. The ancient form of Chinese Medicine is becoming increasingly more mainstream as the world is beginning to discover its effectiveness.
We recently chatted to Rachael Haley, Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist at Sydney’s Nimbus & Co., about what it involved, how exactly it worked, and what we can use it for. She told us the treatment involves gently inserting very fine, sterile needs into specific points on your body for 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the condition being treated. The needles then work to stimulate the body’s natural healing response – reducing stress and inflammation, improving circulation and rebalancing hormones.
Rachael also told us that most people will be referred to acupuncturists to treat aches and pains, the practice can also work wonders on a number of other surprising ailments.
