Over the last month, the content creator has filmed himself raving to his 672k followers about how his appetite has significantly reduced while on berberine supplements. Now, it seems, the rest of the wellness industry is slowly catching on.

A plant-based supplement, berberine follows in the footsteps of Ozempic, the diabetes medication that has recently been dominating headlines thanks to its celebrity endorsement, with names like Elon Musk and Amy Schumer taking it for it’s weight loss credentials.

Developed as a miracle treatment for diabetes, Ozempic works by managing the blood glucose level and HbA1c (average blood sugar level) in people diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, according to Diabetes UK.
